New March Workout Additions!
As is Team Afterburn tradition, we constantly striving to keep the routines fun and fresh by adding new exercises each month! Some of them will be altogether new to our members, while a few will be twists on some of our old favorites! Let’s take a look at the newest additions for March:
1.) Isometric Wipers
➢ The isometric wipers are back! This is an exercise we previously had at Afterburn but hasn’t been in our regular rotation for a while. This exercise is an excellent combination of core strength and chest! The base form of this exercise is either a pushup or plank position, with the arms spread out wide. From there, you sway your body from left to right, constantly keeping tension on the chest. We can always modify down and do the exercise from our knees, but the more we can manage to stay up, the more we work that core!
2.) Rubber Band Low to High
➢ Another new twist on an Afterburn regular! Holding the band out to your side, with tension, you will keep your hand down near your waist while going into a squat. Once you come up from the squat, you will bring the rubber band across your body and up, toward your opposite shoulder. This allows us to work another aspect of the chest!
